As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I had the pleasure of exploring an array of dishes that truly showcase the creativity and passion embedded in each plate. From the moment I entered, the rich aromas and beautifully presented meals set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The menu is thoughtfully curated, blending traditional flavors with modern culinary techniques. Every bite transports you to a world where freshness and quality reign supreme.
Highlighting their signature dishes, Rio Azul excels in crafting seafood delicacies that celebrate the bounty of the Mediterranean. Each plate I tasted was a testament to the chef's dedication, utilizing local ingredients that burst with flavor. The grilled octopus, cooked to perfection, was tender and complemented by a vibrant citrus dressing. Meanwhile, the paella, a classic staple, was a delightful medley of saffron-infused rice and fresh seafood, delivering comfort and nostalgia in every mouthful.
Moreover, Rio Azul's ambiance strikes a perfect balance between elegance and warmth, making it an ideal venue for both casual meals and special occasions. The attentive service enhances the experience, ensuring that your culinary journey is as enjoyable as it is delicious.

“ Don’t be misled by the “un-Chinese” name of this restaurant. Was craving for Chinese dishes with rice as I’ve been travelling for 2 weeks. There were many Chinese restaurants in the area but narrowed down to this as cantonese influenced dishes are served. Sweet and sour pork was authentic and the rest of the dishes met up to expectations. Do give this restaurant a try if you’re in the city. ”
“ The steam fish was very nice. The rest were below average. ”
“ I came here to have authentic Peking duck and they did not disappoint. Other Chinese restaurants often serve you fried duck instead of roasted duck (I assume because it is more cost efficient). Not here. They bring it out to you on a nice cart and carve it in front of you. Also they fried the leftover meat in rice. I'd definetly recommend it! The other dishes were very good too, and the service super nice and forthcoming. ”
“ Authentically cooked Cantonese style dishes that are tasty and fresh. Service is extremely friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended. ”
“ It is a well established authentic cantonese cuisine restaurant. The location is a bit off for tourist attractions and the restaurant is old. But the food was reasonably price and very yummy. They offer delivery service too. ”
“ This is indeed an authentic Chinese food restaurant. They serves great delicious meals for all these years since 1974. It’s a nice to have a meal here when visiting Barcelona. Very friend owner and staffs. Comfortable space to enjoy our meals. Never miss each time I visit Barcelona to eat here. ”
“ Greatest chinese restaurant in Barcelona, the only where i found tasty and cool quality/price rate for Peking Duck... just awesome. They also have Abalone Menu, so you can tase this strange but curious seafood.Seems a typical chinese restaurant, but you'll discover that is one of the place to go for chinese food in BCN. ”
“ Roast duck was good. Other dishes are ok. Only the white rice is not as good. ”
